Administrative Assistant

Design and Production Incorporated has open positions for Administrative Assistants. Administrative Assistants perform administrative and office support activities. Duties include writing and organizing correspondence, filing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, tracking expenses, and completing office forms. Extensive software skills, Internet research abilities and strong communication skills are required. Applicants should demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with internal teams in a fast-based environment. Attention to detail is critical.


Audiovisual Senior/Lead Technician

The Audiovisual Senior/Lead Technician will have a minimum of three to five years of broad experience with and knowledge of major commercial audio, video, control, and display systems--including signal distribution--to fill a hands-on position in the Media Department. S/he will have experience with the physical installation of AV racks and commercial low voltage wiring/connectors/terminations as well as mechanical aptitude and experience with the installation of ceiling mounted projectors, flat panel displays, audiovisual and mechanical interactive components inside commercial buildings, and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, facility with hand tools, test equipment, and the know how to solder, crimp, and compress connections.


Production Manager

D&P is seeking a Production Manager to lead all Shop operations.  The successful candidate will be a highly organized, independent self-starter able to manage production teams for multiple projects.  They must prioritize and schedule each department’s tasks, and supervise a large, talented staff of skilled craftsmen.  This position requires a thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods, production scheduling, and experience in custom job shop operations.

D&P’s Production Shop is fully equipped with sophisticated, computer-driven fabrication equipment and is organized into task-oriented departments for wood, composite, metal work, painting and finishing, graphic production, artifact mountmaking, electrical work, and warehousing, shipping, and installation.


Project Administrator

D&P's Project Management team has an opening for a Project Administrator. The Administrator will assist with the Department's day-to-day duties while also supporting Project Managers with takes related to the specific projects upon which they are working. The position requires an advanced skill set in Microsoft Office suite, professional manner, exceptional customer service, strong organizational and analytical skills,attention to detail, and the ability to manage various tasks and prioritize them as appropriate. Experience in a related industry is preferred as is experience working in Microsoft Project and/or ProCore.

Project Manager

D&P’s Project Management Department is responsible for directing our custom fabrication projects from contract signing to successful completion.  Project Managers are assigned to lead the fabrication teams D&P assembles for each job and function as principal contacts for our clients and their designers. Project Managers are responsible for maintaining project schedules and budgets, and provide quality control and coordination throughout the production stages to final installation.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of large-scale museum exhibit projects. He or she must demonstrate leadership ability, be detail oriented and organized, have experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and be flexible enough to handle evolving parameters and changes in direction.  The successful candidate will be an individual with excellent communication skills and experience in commercial construction and/or exhibit fabrication.

Senior Museum/Exhibit Detailer

Our Engineering and Detailing Department interprets custom-designed drawings and sketches to produce comprehensive exhibit production drawings.  Using the latest Autodesk software products, D&P’s engineers and detailers develop suitable structural systems to support and display mechanical interactives, unique media and lighting mechanisms, electrical and data pathways, and graphics.  Specialty materials are used to seamlessly integrate these elements into exhibit environments, and, ultimately, to direct the production and assembly of each exhibition project’s components. 

The Exhibit Engineer / CAD Detailer we are seeking must have strong AutoCAD drafting skills and experience with Autodesk Inventor / Vault.  The successful candidate will be an organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who can work creatively, perform self-directed product research, and provide workable solutions to highly imaginative design challenges.

Subcontract Administrator

D&P's team seeks a Subcontract Administrator to aid the Estimating, Purchasing, Accounting, and contracts Departments with day-to-day functions to help ensure the successful operation of the Company. The Administrator will prepare Requests for Proposals/Quotations for subcontracts, logistics, and facilities; process high value invoices per the terms of each subcontract; process change orders; and process logistics, facility, and material orders as needed.

The position requires an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience, a background in Contracting or Purchasing; proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; and strong organizational skills.
