Solar Eclipse Viewing Party / by Liz Maurer

Like most of the country, we were entranced by the solar eclipse. We hope our clients will forgive our slipping outside for half an hour to see a wonder of universal proportions.  But, they'll be glad to know that safety is ever a priority. Everyone used approved glasses. And no one looked up without them.

It came upon us like a great dark mantle thrown over us. It was not without an involuntary exclamation of wonder I looked round me at this moment. A few rays shot through the clouds for a moment but immediately afterwards the earth and the sky appeared totally black. It was the most awful sight I had ever beheld in my life.

Then it was back to work.
