Blockbuster exhibits are major museum events that capture the public imagination through spectacular artifacts and immersive presentation. “Treasures of Tutankhamen” (King Tut) defined blockbuster, setting a standard for every exhibit, whether traveling or permanent, that came afterwards. Tennessee State Museum Opening October 2018 by Guest User

D&P’s newest museum project opens on October 4, 2018. The Tennessee State Museum’s brand new, state of the exhibits are opening in a new 137,000 square foot building in Nashville, Tennessee. The immersive exhibits, designed by Gallagher & Associates, tell the stories of Tennessee’s people from pre-history to the present.
